In 2006 Gladesville Sporties supported Macquarie University Sport and Recreation by providing a training venue for the Eastern University Games Lawn Bowls Team. This was the first year that Lawn Bowls was offered as part of the University Championships and Macquarie University Sydney successfully gained a silver medal.
